Mercedes-Benz USA - YouTube:Their policy: "Per our Community Guidelines, we don't permit hate speech (speech which attacks or demeans a protected group based on race or ethnic origin, religion, disability, gender, age, veteran status, and sexual orientation/gender identity)."

Editor: This video is offensive to me and my Masonic Brothers. The director of the video is visually and subliminally implanting the idea that Lucifer is somehow related to Masonry by showing a Masonic ring on his finger... Totally wrong and Mercedes-Benz should pull the commercial.

I received an email message today from Mercedes- Benz and I have a question: Can anyone tell me what 'tongue in cheek' means... or do I have to have my podiatrist consult with their proctologist?

Mr. Reames;

Thank you for your email,

Thank you for expressing your interest in our commercial. The ad that aired during the Super Bowl was meant to be a tongue-in-cheek look at the exciting entry price point for the new Mercedes-Benz CLA. Our advertising agency and production team have confirmed that the symbol on the ring is not a Masonic Square and Compass.

We acknowledge and respect your feelings. We regret if you perceive the ad as offensive. Please understand that this is not our intention. Your observation will be shared with the appropriate individuals within our corporation.
