Bishopville man described as mastermind of murder-for-hire plan - WIS News 10 - Columbia, South Carolina |: "BISHOPVILLE, SC (WIS) - A Bishopville man is accused of offering his pickup truck as payment for a man's death in what Lee County deputies call a murder-for-hire case. Authorities say that was just one part of a 10-month plan involving the accused, his ex-wife and another man.

Wofford Webb, 31, is in jail, accused by Lee County deputies of being the mastermind behind a plot to kill two people. 'It was going to be an interesting case and we knew that from the beginning,' said Chief Deputy Tim Clavon.

Deputies say Webb was married to Julie Webb, but they got a divorce. Brian Crosby was married to Mary Crosby, but they also divorced. Deputies say Mary Crosby started dating Wofford Webb, and Brian Crosby started dating Julie Webb."
