Thompson Isaac turned in his resignation at noon Wednesday and released his resignation letter to the public.
'It has been my sincere pleasure to serve my community as mayor,' Isaac wrote. 'Since holding the office in 2007, I have seen Lynchburg make many positive strides. We are repaying state acquired loans, obtained federal grants for the upbuilding of the town and as result, gotten Lynchburg on secure financial footing. It is my hope that mayor and council will continue toward this course of growth.'" full story
