2010-2011 Lee County School District Teacher of the Year Named

Biology and physics teacher at Lee Central High School
has been named 
2010-2011 district teacher of the year.  Mr. Davidson has served the students of Lee County for 24 years. 
"...Mark Davidson, 47, a science teacher at Lee Central High School, was named this year's winner at the opening session for district employees.
Davidson said the recognition came as a complete surprise, but he is more than willing to find room in his trophy case.
'This is a big deal for me,' he said. 'I am very proud of this honor.'
A 1981 graduate of Bishopville High School, Davidson was highly decorated as the head coach of the 1993 Bishopville High AA state championship baseball team.
'There's no doubt when I look back on my career that winning the state championship will be a highlight,' Davidson said. 'But this will be right alongside with it. And it's because they both represent a team effort...'"
