Sumter Family Says Prayer Saved Baby's Life wltx.com | Columbia, SC News, Weather and Sports |:

"'He was known as the 'One-in-a-Million Birth Defect Baby.' What was wrong with his liver has never happened before,' said Healon.

'At birth, one of Ethan's arteries went inside his liver and made a u-turn,' said M.J. Huber, Ethan's Mother.

Ethan's liver only filtered a quarter of his blood, and his heart had a hole in it, both of which are life threatening conditions.

'We never knew from moment to moment what color he may be,' said Healon. 'There was a lot of fear.'

Healon said though there was fear, they also found peace. Family members remember one particular Sunday at church when Ethan was 8-months-old.

'We brought him to the alter and my pastors prayed for him. They anointed him on his stomach and on his heart,' said Healon.

That same week they took Ethan to the doctor.

'The doctors took him back for an MRI and the doctors came back completely astonished because they could not believe the liver was completely healed and the heart was completely healed,' said Healon."
