Lee County Historical Society

Adopted Native of Lee County South Carolina, Bobbi Adams of the The Lee County Historical Society writes:

The Lee County Historical Society will meet on Tuesday, February 10 at 7 P.M. in the S.C. Cotton Museum, 121 W. Cedar Lane, Bishopville.

To honor President's Day, Dr. Tom Powers, Professor of History, USC Sumter, will speak on the evolution of the U.S. Presidency and what the Constitution says about the role and responsibility of the president.

Non-members are also invited to attend.

The James House, our usual meeting place is still undergoing renovation. Progress is continuing and the heat should shortly be cut back on so mold and mildew issues can be addressed.

Keep watching for our newsletter and newspaper publicity for progress on our renovation.
